Following preview season tradition, Magic: The Gathering Head Designer, Mark Rosewater, has shared a list of partial hints and teasers for the upcoming set, Lorwyn Eclipsed, to his Blogatog.

Rosewater starts off with a list of “things you can expect,” which includes a new planeswalker that makes Kithkin creature tokens, a card that allows players to tutor every turn, and the return of a mechanic introduced this year. Rosewater also shared some of the tokens that will be featured in the set:

  • 1/1 colorless Shapeshifter
  • 1/1 blue/black Faerie
  • 2/2 black and green Elf
  • 3/3 green Elk
  • 3/4 green Treefolk

Next up, we get a look at the rules text from several cards. Among the most interesting, we have “You may cast that card without paying its mana cost if the spell’s mana value is less than or equal to the amount of life you gained this turn…” “Double all damage that sources you control of the chosen type would deal…” and “You may cast that card without paying its mana cost if the spell’s mana value is less than or equal to the amount of life you gained this turn.”

Closing things out, Rosewater shares a few of the set’s most unique creature types which include a Giant Mercenary, Noggle Rogue, Horse Serpent, and Faerie Elf Noble. And last but not least, the names of several cards from the set:

  • Bark of Doran
