Following preview season tradition, Magic: The Gathering Head Designer, Mark Rosewater, has shared a teaser for Magic: The Gathering | The Hobbit™ to his Blogatog.
While each bullet provides a partial hint for things to come within the set, a few of the more interesting details include: “a card with affinity for Elves,” “more Sagas that are songs,” “the biggest Bear we’ve ever printed,” and “a mechanic from The Lord of the Rings returns with one small change.”
Some tidbits of rules text that appears on cards includes: “Whenever you attack with creatures with total power 12 or greater,” “Whenever another legendary Elf you control enters,” and “Other Bears you control get +2/+2.”
Additionally, Rosewater shared several of the creature types being included in the set, some of which include: Legendary Creature – Bear Shapeshifter Warrior, Creature – Dog, and Creature – Dragon Wurm.
