Magic: The Gathering and Final Fantasy fans around the world can get a deep dive on Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY at PAX East in Boston with a debut showcase panel hosted by Ben Starr, the voice actor of Clive Rosfield from Final Fantasy XVI.
The showcase debut will offer first looks at new preview cards, special announcements, and include a behind the scenes panel with Gavin Verhey, Zakeel Gordon, Daniel Holt, and Dillon Deveney. The panel will be held on May 10 at 12 PM ET at the PAX East Main Theatre. Fans in attendance can visit booth No. 16031 to check out two iconic scenes from Final Fantasy VII or track down the Chocobo Awakened Inferno mascot at the venue to claim a free MTG Arena sleeve code while supplies last.
But Starr isn’t the only star power to join the panel. Professional wrestlers Kenny Omega and Adam Cole will also be on stage with for the debut showcase. Both announced their appearances on social media and are huge fans of Final Fantasy. Omega has even been known to cosplay as characters from the games.
While the first wave of previews from Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY dropped in February with the official First Look video, the showcase debut will likely include a much larger selection of cards. With Starr hosting, it is also anticipated he will preview a card for his own character, Clive.
