During Hasbro’s fourth quarter investor call, CEO Chris Cocks confirmed that console fans will have to wait until at least 2024 to enjoy MTG Arena on PlayStation and Xbox.

Plans for MTG Arena to launch on both consoles and Steam were initially announced in July of last year and scheduled for fall 2023, however according to Cocks, developers needed more time to properly cultivate the new-player experience. Although not directly cited as a factor in the delay, Cocks also stated that the inclusion of Commander on MTG Arena was a high priority for developers.

Despite the delays for consoles, MTG Arena is still slated to be released through Steam this fall.
