It’s about time to kick some shell as Magic Spotlight: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles takes place this weekend at SCG CON Richmond, bringing together hundreds of players looking to punch their ticket to the third Pro Tour of the year at MagicCon: Amsterdam in July. Star City Games will be covering all the action, streaming both days of competition to our YouTube channel.

The Magic Spotlight Series is a collection of open-entry tournaments that let anyone play high-level Magic, qualify for the Pro Tour, and win cash prizes. Magic Spotlight: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles boasts a prize pool of $50,000, sends the Top 8 players to Pro Tour Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes, and awards promo cards to all players.

All participants will get a non-foil copy of the Super Shredder promo card while top finishers earn a traditional foil version.

Structure
Magic Spotlight: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a Standard Constructed tournament and will be the first look at the format following the release of Magic: The Gathering | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Watch to to see which decks make use of the new cards or if any new archetypes make a mark on the format Day 1 consists of nine rounds of Swiss and players need to reach 18 match points to advance to Day 2. Day 2 is six more rounds of Swiss, followed by a single-elimination Top 8 bracket to decide who walks way with the trophy.

- Saturday, March 7 — Day 1: Round 1-9 starting at 9 AM ET
- Sunday, March 8 — Day 2: Rounds 10-15, Top 8 starting at 9 AM ET
Decklists will be available after Round 10 on Melee.GG as the tournament is a closed-decklist event on Day 1 with open decklists on Day 2.
