Augmented reality (AR) pin company, Pinfinity, has revealed their newest design Easter egg in Streets of New Capenna.
When Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty released, it was revealed that the Showcase variants of Hidetsugu, Devouring Chaos were able to be scanned with Pinfinity’s mobile app in order to make the card “come alive.”
Now, with the launch of Magic’s latest set, Streets of New Capenna, we see the same treatment being given to Golden Age variants of the five crime bosses.
Shared to the MagicTCG Subreddit by Pinfinity founder Caleb Paullus, the cards come alive and feature some cool movement with the art, pop-out 3D text, and some smooth accompanying music.
After the first AR easter egg was revealed, Paullus had stated that future collaborations were “in discussion”, but now it seems likely that we may see at least a few cards from upcoming sets get similar treatment.
