The first card previews from the much-anticipated September release of Magic: The Gathering | Marvel’s Spider-Man were revealed on Saturday offering glimpses of Spider-Man, three villains, and more from the set’s Scene Box product.
The Spidey’s Spectacular Showdown Scene Box is a non-Standard legal product that contains six cards and six associated art cards that combine into an iconic Spider-Man illustration. The Scene Box includes:
- Sensational Spider-Man
- Venom, Deadly Devourer
- Doc Ock, Evil Inventor
- Green Goblin, Nemesis
- Grasping Tentacles
- Pumpkin Bombs
The Scene Box includes six new-to-Magic designs, featuring Legendary Creature cards for Spider-Man, Venom, Green Goblin, and Doc Ock along with an artifact and sorcery depicting some familiar items from the Spider-Verse. Put all six together on the included display easel to view the scene below.
Take note of the spider set symbol on these six cards as it used for cards from the Magic: The Gathering | Marvel’s Spider-Man set that are eternal legal (Commander, Legacy, and Vintage).
The spider and Marvel symbols (SPE and MAR) will appear on cards that are legal in eternal formats and for any cards that might be new-name versions of cards (similar to the Godzilla treatments from Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths) already legal in other formats like Pioneer or Modern. The Spider-Man mask set symbol will be used on cards that are Standard-legal.
Wizards of the Coast (WotC) also showed off the product lineup for Magic: The Gathering | Marvel’s Spider-Man. In addition to the Scene Box, the set will also be offered in Play Boosters, Collector Boosters, Bundles, Welcome Decks, and Prerelease Packs.
Play Booster boxes have 30 Play Boosters, which contain:
- 14 Magic: The Gathering cards:
- 6–7 Commons
- 3 Uncommons
- 1 Wildcard of any rarity
- 1 Rare or mythic rare
- 1 Traditional foil card of any rarity
- 1 Basic land
- 0–1 MAR card
- 1 Non-foil double-sided token

Collector Booster boxes include 12 Collector Boosters, which contain:
