The Bloodless Revolution, Episode 6 of the Aetherdrift story, returns as Chandra, Pia, Daretti, and Loot make another crash landing — this time in Ghirapur near the finish-line of the Ghirapur Grand Prix, after taking the “shortcut” Omenpath Loot located in Amonkhet. They recover from the landing to find consul goons all over the track and Chandra can’t believe her eyes to see Jace and Vraska amid the thugs. It appears the planeswalkers aren’t siding with the consul, as Vraska knocks out one of the members of the crew and Jace approaches Chandra, asking to take over the protection of Loot. He suggests Chandra help the people of her homeland fight off the massive dragon that arrived with the storm the racers had spotted earlier in the event.

Chandra refuses to give up Loot, who Jace knocked out with mind magic, so Jace sends the brain-controlled thugs after Chandra. Jace takes control of a handful of competitors and sends them after Chandra as well. She attempts to fight back, but knows she can’t torch the puppets without harming her rivals — just because they are competitors doesn’t mean they are enemies. As she seeks shelter for a moment to think, Vraska corners her and the pyromancer has to give up the creature to prevent bloodshed.
Spitfire plots a way to still win the race despite being held captive by her father’s men. Mohar lectures Sita, but she knows her racing alias can figure out a way to claim the Aetherspark. As she devises a plan she spots Chandra being taken captive. Pia tries to free her, but gets attacked. Spitfire uses her last aether canister to blitz through time as she fends off the thugs and joins forces with the Nalaars. The now-united squad fights back against the mind-controlled racers as the perspective shifts to Vin, the race commentator who continues his job as the cameras keep rolling for the broadcast. The action fires on all cylinders, but Vin finds himself the target of a dragon attack. As Vin prepares for immolation, an archangel swoops in to deflect the flames.

Nissa races to the action to join in the fight with Chandra and spots Elspeth battling the dragon. Nissa finds Chandra, who is disabled from Jace’s spell, and watches Jace take control of Loot once again. He grabs Loot and tells Vraska its time to go. Nissa can only watch as they vanish in a haze, so she turns her to attention back to Chandra.
While the chaos and battle rages on around them, the Champions of Amonkhet break the finish line first, using a sand cloud to hide them from the dragon. The hippos pull the chariot across the line and the champions pay little mind to Winter, the hobbled man who longed for the finish line but gets dragged back to hell instead. Basri and Zahur celebrate the victory and Zahur will speak the immortal words “For life, for death, for Amonkhet” when they get to clutch the Aetherspark later.
In the aftermath of the race and battle, Elspeth and Nissa tend to Chandra’s aid. As they treat her, Elspeth looks battered from the dragon fight, but she was ultimately successful. The issue, however, is Elspeth says that these wild dragon outbreaks are happening across the multiverse now. “A raging storm of primordial magic has been flowing between worlds, leaving dragons in its wake. We’re seeing dragons on planes that have never known them,” Elspeth explains.

Elspeth takes off, leaving Chandra, Nissa, and Pia to make their way to the Ghirapur Grand Prix celebration ceremony. Sita is now a chauffeur and thanks Chandra for saving the city. Chandra gives the credit to Elspeth then introduces Sita to Nissa. Sita notes that her father is now in jail after the failed coup then takes them to the trophy presentation to watch Zahur and Basri claim the Aetherspark. As the celebration roars on, Jace and Vraska take Loot to the world of Tarkir where they stand alone along the cliffs of the rocky terrain.
