This past weekend, Disney Lorcana revealed new details for the game’s first two sets of 2025.
Archazia’s Island
The first Disney Lorcana set of 2025, Archazia’s Island is set to release in March and will continue the oceanic theme established by the game’s most recent expansion — Azurite Sea.
Revealed during the Disney Lorcana European Championship live stream this past weekend, Archazia’s Island will be a set that revolves around the various animals found in Disney franchises, and based on the promotional image (above), it’s confirmed that the Bolt franchise will be joining Disney Lorcana in this set.
While no other details have been shared at this time, fans have already started speculating about what “Learn New Tricks!” could mean. Some believe that the slogan is simply fun, pet-related verbiage that’s referring to the new mechanics coming in the set, but others feel that it could be hinting at something much bigger – the introduction of hybrid ink cards. Additional support for the hybrid ink theory can be found in the appearance of Bolt in the promotional graphic, where he can be seen wearing what looks like steel armor on half his body.
Reign of Jafar
The second Disney Lorcana set of 2025 will be Reign of Jafar.
Although not much is known about the set at this point, the title and promotional image points to Jafar taking over as the next major villain, as the Ursula arc comes to an end.
Rise of Jafar is scheduled for a Quarter 2, 2025 release.
