With a balanced and evolving Classic Constructed format thanks to multiple heroes recently hitting Living Legend, Legend Story Studios (LSS) unbanned two cards today in its scheduled Banned and Restricted announcement.

With Verdance and Florian ascending to Living Legend LSS said it’s safe to allow Scepter of Pain and all copies of Rootbound Carapace to return to Classic Constructed. These unbans are effective tomorrow.
The article reviewed LSS’s stance on handling Silver Age bans in accordance to cards that appear in preconstructed decks for the format. The goal is to have a given preconstructed deck legal for its release season before any action is taken on cards in that deck.
Lastly, LSS gave a preview of some cards that will be banned in anticipation for Omens of the Third Age‘s release. The cards that look to be strong with the Lightning theme of the set include:
- Channel Lightning Valley
- Electromagnetic Somersault
- Phantom Tidemaw
- Reaping Blade
- Skyward Serenade
- Volzar, the Lightning Rod
These cards and potentially more will be banned on the next scheduled B&R update on May 28.
