First Flesh And Blood Part The Mistveil Previews Revealed At Pro Tour: Los Angeles

Product release roadmap, Organized Play schedule, and location of World Championship also unveiled in keynote presentation

James White, creator of Flesh and Blood, kicked off Pro Tour: Los Angeles last night with a keynote address covering upcoming product releases, Organized Play for 2024, and Part the Mistveil previews.

Product Releases In 2024

White started by showing off the product roadmap for the remainder of the year, which features the third standalone booster set coming in September, four new preconstructed Classic Constructed Armory Decks, and a new player introduction product called 1st Strike Decks set for release in August.

Armory Decks will be available exclusively at local game stores that regularly run Armory Events as a way to acknowledge the work they put in to support their local communities. The first Armory Deck uses the new Brute from Heavy Hitters — Kayo, Armed and Dangerous. It will be released on May 3 and additional Armory Decks will be coming in July, August, and October.

The brand-new product aimed at new players, 1st Strike Decks, will debut at Gen Con in August. The product is designed to be the best first-play experience in the game’s history.

Organized Play In 2024

The Organized Play roadmap lays out the remainder of the schedule for events in 2024. ProQuest season will follow the Pro Tour in Los Angeles this weekend, then move into National Championships, a Skirmish season, another ProQuest season following the Pro Tour in Amsterdam, and another Skirmish season to end the year. In addition to the World Premier of Part the Mistveil coming to Tokyo, Japan, the 2024 Flesh and Blood World Championship will be held in Osaka, Japan from October 31 – November 3.

Part The Mistveil Previews

For the part everyone was waiting for, the keynote presentation ended with the unveiling of the Part the Mistveil teaser video, showcasing the three new heroes coming to Flesh and Blood.

Part the Mistveil introduces a new talent, Mystic, which all three new heroes take advantage of. What exactly that talent does is unclear, but it most likely involves using the new resource, called Chi, which is represented by a blue resource symbol instead of red. How Chi works is unclear, but it is the first new resource in Flesh and Blood since the game’s release.

Feast your eyes on the new Ninja, Illusionist, and Assassin heroes.

They all feature young versions, which will be used in Limited and Blitz, and also have full-art Marvel variants.

Official preview season begins on May 11, but Flesh and Blood typically trickles out some eye-catching previews before that start of preview season.
