Embracing The Chaos – The Advantage of Second-Best

Tuesday, May 11th – I’ve long been a proponent in multiplayer games that being best isn’t always best. Building a power base while others are charging out of the gate and becoming the threat—which must immediately be dealt with—has served as a strong strategy for as long as I’ve played EDH. We’ll see how that strategy plays out in the latest installment of Armada Games’ EDH League.

Embracing The Chaos – Through the Kindness of Strangers

The StarCityGames.com Open Series returns to Atlanta!
Tuesday, April 27th – After taking a week off of EDH League for visiting family, I was once again ready to dive into slinging the 100 card decks. Although I’ll play Kenny’s contest-winning deck a few more times in the league, it felt like it had been such a long time since I had played Kresh, I was itching to trot it out.

Embracing The Chaos – Kenny’s Deck Gets There

The StarCityGames.com Open Series returns to Atlanta!
Tuesday, April 20th – Like me, I’m sure you were wondering how well Kenny’s deck (last week’s contest winner) would do when faced with other EDH decks that didn’t have similar restrictions. I’m pleased to report that it did moderately well. Let’s dive right into the action!

Tuesday, March 30th – We have another week until the Armada Games EDH League v.4 starts up so there won’t be an event report, but as promised, this week, we have a contest. I’m offering $50 in StarCityGames.com credit to the winner and $25 to the runner-up, but I’ll warn you right now, you’ll have to do a little work for it.

Wednesday, March 24th – Now the exciting conclusion to the Armada Games EDH League V.3! Can Kresh get there, or will braid be unblooded? Will I lose because of a late bumble, or will I win in spite of myself? Let’s find out!

Monday, March 15th – The first batch of Rise of the Eldrazi spoilers are here, and we’ve got ‘em! All in all, I have six cards to review, and I’ll give you my thoughts on each of them in general and then, of course, how they’ll play in the Greatest Format Known to Man.

Embracing The Chaos – Chaos Incarnate

StarCityGames.com Open Series: Indianapolis on March 13-14
Tuesday, March 9th – Week six of the Armada Games EDH League set the standard for creating the chaos. Surprises and eleventh hour rescues were the order of business for the evening. I understand that Hive Mind and Warp World both resolved in one of the later games, but we’ll come back to that…

Embracing The Chaos – Zombie Letdown

StarCityGames.com Open Series: Indianapolis on March 13-14
Tuesday, March 2nd – After a week off EDH League to attend Pro Tour: San Diego, I was back at the Armada Games Thursday EDH League. I was hoping to devour quite a few brains, but as you’ll see, things didn’t quite work out the way I had hoped.

Embracing The Chaos – The Boneyard

SCG Open Richmond!

Tuesday, February 16th – I had so much fun last week playing the Lord of Tresserhorn/Zombie deck that I decided to play it again. My strategy with this deck is pretty basic. Get Zombies, swing with Zombies, do Zombie tricks if need be.

Embracing The Chaos – Lord of the Tresserhorn

Grand Prix: Oakland!

Tuesday, February 9th – Week 3 of the Armada Games EDH League demonstrated just how out of hand the format can get in the wacky and wild. It got so wacky and wild that I actually couldn’t keep up writing fast enough to record everything that went on – and you’ll see why.

Embracing The Chaos – Reins of Thraximundar

Grand Prix: Oakland!

Tuesday, February 2nd – On the Thursday before the prerelease, week 2 of the Armada Games EDH League came up faster than I could prepare for, so I had to shelve my plans to run Lord of Tresserhorn out there (I hope I have time to put him together, completely with Worldwake cards). Keeping with the Grixis theme, I decided to run Thraximundar, who I also hadn’t updated in a while…
