“You know the old saying ‘the best place to hide a tree is in the woods?’ Well, then the best place to hide a book is in an abandoned Izzet research station.
It took me longer to Acquire this piece than it has any other single object I have ever tracked by at least two months. Why? Because it was in a decrepit and Arcane Laboratory of some long-deceased Nivix Academy Researchers. There was three inches of dust and debris on everything. It was like going to a library where everything was covered in fresh snow, except it smelled like old fireplace ashes. There were no authorities on my tail, no violent rabble chasing me. Just piles of books, notes, scrolls, scribblings, sketches, folders, letters, diaries, and various other written materials strewn around the massive facility. It took me eight months to trudge through the mess.
They should thank me for finding that Emmessi Tome. At least I’ll put it to some use. Maybe I’ll return it to them someday…if they promise to keep it on a nice, clean shelf.”

Don your helmets and strap on your goggles because it’s Izzet Week in the Magic community! We’re celebrating technology and development, blue-red mages are crafting Desperate Ravings decks, and everything is on overload! Izzet cards have been the talk of the set since Izzet Charm was first spoiled as a part of Duel Decks: Izzet vs. Golgari, and it hasn’t let up much since. In fact, some people played Izzet Charm in their Legacy decks at #SCGINVI before Return to Ravnica even came out! And no guild seems to have quite the same amount of support among Magic players as the Izzet:

Almost nobody played Izzet at my LGS, which is odd because that was the most popular guild on the official site.

Questions of science; science and progress do not speak as loud as my Twitter. Nobody said it was easy, no one ever said it would be so hard. I’m going back to the login page!
