Sweet Tweets: #ForTheConclave

It’s Selesnya Week across the Magic universe! Celebrate by reading what people have had to say about the green/white guild recently on Twitter.

“The Selesnya don’t have books because paper is made from wood pulp. They don’t have scrolls because vellum is made from the skin of young beasts. In fact, they don’t write on anything because quills come from bird feathers, brushes use animal hair, and pens are carved from trees. These are all part of the same continuous life force to them. For a Selesnyan, using any of these things as we do would be akin to using a human bone as a writing implement, and every letter would be a Sign in Blood.

Can you imagine? No recorded history. I couldn’t survive.

I originally believed them to be backward and primitive, relying on pack mentality and ingrained hierarchical structures like a Wolf Pack or Cave People. But then I learned more about them, and I discovered the Worldsoul has perfect memory. They have no need for such things because they never forget.

It’s no wonder, then, that the Elephants are Selesnyan.”

It’s Selesnya Week across the Magic universe, and we are celebrating all things hippie-dippie! Green-white mages like Brian Kibler are the men of the hour, and populate is the name of the game. Selesnya was a popular choice at Prereleases last weekend, as proven by the many ardent supporters of the guild taking to Twitter to show their support:

Come on people now, smile on your brother! Everybody get together and try to Tweet one another right now!

I am Simic. Basically, Simic is the Ravenclaw equivalent of the guilds…and I’m a Ravenclaw as well! Wit beyond measure is man’s greatest pleasure, and no guild lives up to that credo of cleverness and intelligence more than the Simic.
