This deck is clearly not as good as it could have been had I been able to choose my direction right away, rather than waste picks on stuff like Surging Flame and Krovikan Mist. Josh Ravitz told me that I tried to move in too many times in this draft, which makes sense. However, I do think that it’s a good idea to try to move in in the first pack since that’s how you end up with a ridiculous deck, and you always get enough playables anyway. I lost in the first round to a very mediocre deck because my Surging Sentinels were always the fifth card down so my hand got clogged with them. I lost two long games in which if I ever drew my Sunscour I couldn’t possibly have lost. Oh well.
