Whatever happened to R/W Aggro, the litmus test from Fate Reforged Standard? It dropped off suddenly toward the end of the season and people just kind of forgot about. Well, like CVM’s G/R deck, perhaps it just needed some dragons.
Thunderbreak Regent complements Stormbreath Dragon very well, giving you a solid aerial force to work with. Those Dragons allow you to get some use out of excess mana by playing Haven of the Spirit Dragon as well. Draconic Roar is basically exactly what the deck wanted, and it works extremely well with Soulfire Grand Master.
I’m very surprised to not see any copies of previous staple Chained to the Rocks. After all, it used to be the biggest draw to the deck! People might expect your R/W deck to have multiple enchantments, which this deck doesn’t, but at best you’re blanking only a couple sideboard cards. Perhaps the pilot was very worried about Dromoka’s Command, which is understandable.
