Daily Digest: Temur Control

If you’re on your way to #SCGRICH and you’re looking for a new kind of control deck, GerryT may have found exactly what you’re looking for in today’s Daily Digest!

Brian Kibler favors the aggressive aspects of the Temur clan, but that doesn’t mean that’s all they have to offer. This deck resembles the Jeskai decks
more than the Temur decks we’ve seen, but depending on the metagame, Temur might actually be in a better place.

None of the creatures die to Anger of the Gods and none of them are easy to remove, especially since you’ve got Stubborn Denial. As the Jeskai decks have
shown us, playing a threat and protecting it is a viable strategy in Standard. Similar to the Jeskai decks, Magma Jet and Lightning Strike provide early
removal while also doubling as a way to finish your opponent off.

The full amount of Dig Through Times gives you staying power and allows you to find what you need in a timely manner. Steam Augury, while not the best card
overall, serves a solid purpose here, filling the graveyard to enable cheaper delve spells.

Of all the Standard decks I’ve posted in this column, this is definitely one of my favorites.
