Daily Digest: King Durdle

Who doesn’t love to durdle? Durdling makes for some of the most fun you’ll ever have playing Magic regardless of what your opponent has going on. Want to durdle it up at #SCGATL? Look no further kids.

That is correct, I have found the ultimate deck for people who want to do a bunch of stuff but ultimately accomplish nothing — The King of Durdling.

This deck features numerous packages capable of soft-locking an opponent: Sensei’s Divining Top and Counterbalance, Intuition for Life from the Loam,
Academy Ruins and Engineered Explosives (or maybe a Wasteland in there for value), and Punishing Fire with Grove of the Burnwillows. To finish the game,
Intuition for Life from the Loam, Dark Depths, and Thespian’s Stage provides a clean kill. If that’s too quick, feel free to win with Jace, the Mind
Sculptor instead.

In the meantime, there are Lightning Bolts, Engineered Explosives, and counterspells to deal with their threats. Hopefully that’s enough to set out one of
the numerous lategame engines. I’m guessing that some of the time it won’t be, but we all need to dream a little bit.

If you enjoy durdling around, this might be the ultimate deck for you. I know I’m excited.
