Last weekend at Grand Prix Paris, yet another archetype emerged. Yohan Dudognon started 9-0 with a unique use of Collected Company. Instead of going for value, he went for power with his four-color version. His perfect Day 1 was followed by a solid but unspectacular 3-3 that left him in 11th place.
His mana looks good, and his power level appears to be off the charts, as he’s sporting not only Mantis Rider, but Savage Knuckleblade as well. Fleecemane Lion, Ojutai’s Command, and Dromoka’s Command round out his suite of overpowered gold cards.
He also has the Goblin Rabblemaster + Stoke the Flames package that has made red decks so powerful for the last six months. With Valorous Stance, Disdainful Stroke, and a healthy sideboard for red aggro, there doesn’t seem to be much that can stop this deck.
