Who doesn’t love a wacky Brad Nelson deck?
Brad’s previous Mardu/Abzan mashup utilized Satyr Wayfinder as a role player, either to fix your mana or provide fodder for Butcher of the Horde. With Fate
Reforged, the little Satyr has a larger role: filling the graveyard for Tasigur, the Golden Fang. Additionally, Flamewake Phoenix doesn’t mind ending up in
the graveyard.
Chained to the Rocks and Crackling Doom are arguably the best two removal spells in Standard. Siege Rhino is arguably the best creature in Standard, so
getting to play all of those together is quite a delight. As always, Sylvan Caryatid brings it all together, although the power of Satyr Wayfinder when it
comes to fixing your mana shouldn’t be underestimated.
The power level of these four color decks can’t be denied, but power versus consistency is always something you have to wrestle with.
