Daily Digest: A Different Way To Use The Graveyard

We’re only beginning to understand just how crazy you can make your Whip of Erebos activations. Join GerryT as he shows you yet another crazy trick you can do when you’re cracking the most dangerous artifact (and enchantment) in Standard!

Whip of Erebos gets all the credit for the Reanimator decks that are currently terrorizing Standard, but it’s not the only way to do things. Sure, you can
Whip back a Hornet Queen or a bunch of Siege Rhinos, but is that better than giving something +20/+20?

Enter Strength from the Fallen.

A few brave souls tried to make this work last season but couldn’t get it quite right. It didn’t help that Pack Rat and Supreme Verdict were powerful cards
that were difficult to beat. Maybe now is the time?

Earlier
this week, I showcased Tim Ealey’s PTQ winning graveyard deck featuring Soul of Theros, but perhaps Strength from the Fallen is a better option. With
mostly creatures in the deck, it seems like a fine way to smash through things like Siege Rhino.

There might only be fourteen enchantments in the deck, but Commune with the Gods can find them. The only thing left to worry about is things like zombie
tokens and Satyr Wayfinders chump-blocking, but that’s what Herald of Torment is for!
