I played in SCG Philly this past weekend, and while I wasn’t victorious, I did finish the event with a 7-6 record which was good enough for 62nd place. Now I am not terribly proud of this finish, but I won’t be complaining about a system that allows me to min-cash with a horrible record any time soon.
But enough about me, because the real man of the hour is Daryl Ayers. He has been perfecting his take on Temur Delver ever since he played the deck at Grand Prix New Jersey a couple of months ago. Kird Ape might not seem like the best choice, but Treasure Cruise wasn’t the nimblest of cards to play in older versions, so sacrifices had to be made.
I decided I had to give his deck a shot since this might be the last weekend the eight mana Ancestral Recall sees play in Legacy. The Banned and Restricted announcement is right around the corner, and I’m pretty sure we all can agree that things will be changing to Legacy and Modern. Let’s just see how ban worthy this card is while I take this deck for a spin in a Legacy Daily event!
