Picks 1, 2, and 3 were pretty easy. I went into Blue/Green because of the Willbender as my 4th pick, as it’s a clear signal.
20th pick saw me take Pallid Mycoderm over Uktabi Drake, because I don’t like the Drake too much, and if I picked up a Sprout Swarm in Future Sight I could morph to Blue/Green splash White. Of course, as you can see, this didn’t pan out… but
I picked up an Intet for my 21st pick.
Round 1 I played against a good Slivers deck. In game 1, he played many slivers including Pulmonic and Necrotic, and I
lost pretty quickly.
Sideboarding:
In – 1 Cancel, 1 Logic Knot
Out – 1 Leaden Fists, 1 Gauntlet of Power
Game 2 was good for me.I played Cancel on his Pulmonic, and his Evolution
charm (used to return Pulmonic) miraculously changed target and returned a Reflex Sliver. Then I drew Tromp
the Domains and won.
Game 3 he played Pulmonic again… but Spin Into Myth removed this tricky Sliver, and
my flyers beat him down.
Round 2 I played against a Blue/White deck. Game 1 saw me color-screwed, but my Second Wind and Leaden Fists neuter his
Looter and 2/2 flyers. Then I drew a Forest, and my Gauntlet-fuelled Sprout Swarm beat him.

Out – 1 Veiling Oddity
Game 2 he stopped on two land, but made a Looter. I played Fists for his Looter, but he drew land next turn, and played Zealot il-Vec. I tried an Aether Web on my Spitting Slug in his attack step, but he played Erratic Mutation with my Web on the stack and revealed a four-mana card. I played Citanul Woodreaders with kicker twice, but I didn’t draw a Mountain and I
had Dead/Gone and Intet in hand. My opponent played four flyers, and I can’t beat that.
Game 3 saw me make a little mistake, and his Ivory Giant with Shade of Trokair and Zealot il-Vec beat me up.
If I hadn’t made a mistake, I think I would’ve still lost… I need more practice.
