Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has revealed the event lineup and accompanying promos for Magic: The Gathering | The Hobbit™.
Magic: The Gathering | The Hobbit™ at Gen Con
Those who attend Magic: The Gathering | The Hobbit™ Pre-Prerelease event at Gen Con (July 30–August 2) will receive an extended art, traditional foil Tom, Bert, and William promo.
Two-Headed Giant Commander Night
August 14–September 24, players attending Two-Headed Giant Commander Night events at their local game store will receive an extended art Bilbo, Luckwearer promo. This promo will be available in traditional foil at WPN Premium locations.
Standard Showdown
The winner of each Standard Showdown event (August 14–September 24) at their local game store will receive an extended art, traditional foil Wood Eleves promo.
Magic Spotlight: The Hobbit
Players attending either of the Magic Spotlight: The Hobbit events will receive an extended art Riddles in the Dark promo. The Top 128 will earn an additional copy of this promo in traditional foil. The dates for each event are as follows:
- Brisbane, Australia: August 28–30, 2026 — Hosted by Let’s Play Games
- Dallas, Texas: September 4–6, 2026 — Hosted by Star City Games
Magic Presents: Heart of the Mountain
From September 4–10, players attending Magic Presents: Heart of the Mountain events at their local game store will receive an extended art An Unexpected Party promo. This promo will be available in traditional foil at WPN Premium locations.
CommandFest
This textless Fyndhorn Elves promo comes with badge purchase for CommandFests being held August 21–September 6. It will be available in non-foil and traditional foil based on which badge tier is purchased. The schedule for these events is as follows:
- August 21–23, 2026, in Toronto, Canada — Presented by Face to Face Games
- August 30, 2026, in Yokohama, Japan — Presented by Hareruya
- August 29–30, 2026, in Mexico City, Mexico — Presented by Necrotower
