Following preview season tradition, Magic: The Gathering Head Designer, Mark Rosewater, has shared a teaser for Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes to his Blogatog.
While each bullet provides a partial hint for things to come within the set, a few of the more interesting details include: “An activation with six different mana symbols,” “A flavor word that references an Un- card,” and “Another card that lets you cast a subset of cards off the top of your library.” The clue about a new enchantment subtype could refer to plan, as seen on Doctor Doom and his plan called Doom Reigns Supreme, or it might be something else completely.
Some tidbits of rules text that appears on cards includes: “Ward – Get five poison counters,” “Exile all the cards from your hand,” and ““At the beginning of your end step, if you have fewer than ten cards in hand.” The “equip worthy” line sounds like it could be on Mjolnir as Thor often struggles with being worthy throughout the comics.
Additionally, Rosewater shared several of the creature types being included in the set, some of which include: Creature – Dragon Cat Dog Bird Frog Hero, Legendary Creature – Alien Dragon Villain, and Legendary Creature – Demigod Warrior Hero.
