Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has added a panel to the MagicCon: Atlanta lineup that will reveal new information on next year’s Magic: The Gathering set releases.

Hosted by Magic Head Designer, Mark Rosewater, Principal Magic Designer, Gavin Verhey, and more, The Preview Panel will give MagicCon attendees a first look at what’s to come for the game in 2026, including upcoming products, set release dates, and more.

At present, Magic is projected to have six Standard-legal set releases in 2026 with the two confirmed being Lorwyn Eclipsed (January 23) and Secrets of Strixhaven (Q2). While not much is known on the third mainline set, Codename “Ziplining” is slated for a Q3 release and is presumed to be the conclusion to the current story arc.

Assuming WotC follows the same release cadence as 2025, the remaining three sets will be Universes Beyond crossovers, some number of which are likely to be Marvel-related, as they have a multi-year agreement with Magic. Also of note, there are currently no confirmed supplemental releases (E.g. Modern Horizons, Innistrad Remastered) on the 2026 schedule.

The Preview Panel will take place Friday, September 26 at 1:45 PM EST on the Mana Stage at MagicCon: Atlanta.
