Hasbro Announces MTG Events At Comic-Con

In-person experiences to join Magic: The Gathering | Marvel’s Spider-Man first look this weekend at SDCC

With San Diego Comic-Con right around the corner, Hasbro announced all the events its brands will be taking part in during the three-day celebration of all things comics and gaming.

Hasbro, the parent company of Wizards of the Coast (WotC), detailed the activities and panels for Magic’s upcoming Universes Beyond sets — Magic: The Gathering | Marvel’s Spider-Man and Magic: The Gathering | Avatar: The Last Airbender.

From Thursday to Sunday, MTG and Marvel are joining forces at the Legends Ballroom at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego, where the room will be reimagined as Spider-Man’s neighborhood offering immersive experiences and looks at new cards. There will be learn-to-play events inside the friendly neighborhood game store along with other events for more experienced players that showcase new cards from Magic: The Gathering | Marvel’s Spider-Man. All players will take home the Welcome decks from the set while supplies last.

The Magic: The Gathering | Marvel’s Spider-Man action will be headlined by the First Look preview panel running from 12:30-1:30 PM PT on Friday in Room 5AB. Mark Rosewater, C.B. Cebulski, Aaron Forsythe and Sarah Wassell will be showing off new cards, artwork, and more.

For fans of Magic and Avatar: The Last Airbender a visit to the legendary cabbage merchant will be a must-see location. From Thursday-Saturday 10AM-5PM PT and Sunday from 10AM-4PM PT, swing by the Petco Park Lexus Premier Lot for an awesome photo opportunity. While supplies last, fans can get a copy of the Katara, the Fearless promo card from Magic: The Gathering | Avatar: The Last Airbender, grab an exclusive SDCC Avatar: The Last Airbender tote bag, and secure a cabbage from the merchant.
