Ravensburger and the Disney Lorcana team has revealed that Black Cauldron, Pocahontas, and the world of Pixar will be coming to Disney Lorcana over the next few years.
This past weekend, fans from around the world gathered at the annual D23 convention in Anaheim, California for a celebration of all things Disney. Included among the numerous panels, Ravensburger and Disney Lorcana gave a look into the plans for the trading card game in 2025 and 2026.
Each new Disney Lorcana set has introduced at least one new franchise to the game, and the next two years will follow suit. First up, characters and elements from the 1985 animated classic, Black Cauldron, will debut in 2025 along with the first inaugural Disney Lorcana World Championship which will be held at the Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
Looking ahead, 2026 is likely to be even bigger for Disney Lorcana with the addition of not only the beloved Pocahontas franchise, but various Pixar intellectual property (IPs) as well. Despite the lack of details and no specific IPs confirmed during the panel, the hype for Pixar characters in Disney Lorcana has already begun on social media, with fans speculating on what the first wave of Pixar cards will include.
Star City Games would like to thank Eric Switzer for sharing their pictures from the Disney Lorcana panel at D23. You can view more of Switzer’s photos from D23 over on their X page.
