Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has announced the dates and locations for Eternal Weekend 2024.
Eternal Weekend is an annual celebration of Magic: The Gathering’s two oldest formats, Vintage and Legacy, where fans gather to show off their skills and cast some of the game’s most powerful and iconic cards.
This year, there will be three opportunities to participate in Eternal Weekend events:
- October 12-13, 2024, in Shizuoka, Japan
- November 21-24, 2024, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
- December 6-8, 2024, in Prague, Czech Republic
All three events will have their own separate Vintage and Legacy events, for a total of three Vintage champions and three Legacy champions. While a detailed breakdown of the prize support has yet to be revealed, it has been confirmed that this year’s events will not award coveted paintings like they did last year. There will however, be special promo cards to be earned for the Top 32 and Top 8 in both formats.
Legacy players who reach the Top 32 will earn this exclusive retro frame Crop Rotation featuring new artwork by Jason Rainville. The Top 8 will receive an additional copy in traditional foil.
Vintage players who reach the Top 32 will earn this exclusive retro frame Tinker featuring new artwork, also by Jason Rainville. The Top 8 will receive an additional copy in traditional foil.
