Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and Takashi Sakaue, take a look at this unique mythic DFC from Innistrad: Crimson Vow — Jacob Hauken, Detective!
T: Draw a card, then exile a card from your hand face down. You may look at that card for as long as it remains exiled. Then, you may pay 4UU. If you do, Transform Jacob Hauken, Detective.
Somewhat reminiscent of Jace, Vryn’s Prodigy, Jacob Hauken, Detective allows you to pseudo-loot, tapping to draw a card, then exiling a card from your hand face down. Later in the game, you can pay six mana to transform Jacob into Hauken’s Sight.
At the beginning of your upkeep, exile the top card of your library face down. You may look at it for as long as it remains exiled.
During each of your turns, you may play a land or cast a spell without paying its mana cost from among the cards exiled with this permanent.
A nice source of card advantage, Hauken’s Sight triggers during your upkeep and nets you a free land or spell each turn. While it may take a few turns to get going, you’ll eventually be able to bury your opponents in value. It’s also worth noting that outside of Standard, you can use Moonmist to transform Jacob Hauken early on in the game and get ahead on casting free spells.
