Original Niv-Mizzet Receives Retro-Frame Treatment In Ravnica Remastered

The Magic: The Gathering X account posted a first-look at a retro-frame version of Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind coming in Ravnica Remastered.

The original Niv-Mizzet from Guildpact is back with a retro frame and the classic foil treatment, including the star at the bottom of the card. Observant players will spot this Niv-Mizzet sports new flavor text, moving on from the original line of “(Z—>)90° — (E—N²W)90°t = 1”.

Ravnica Remastered is another set in the line of remastered products bringing fan-favorite reprints along with special booster fun treatments and a new draft experience. Cards from all three previous Ravnica blocks will be included, Some of the reprints include the shocklands in three different styles: the original Rob Alexander art, new borderless versions with new art, and retro-frame versions with original art.

The set also includes anime art reprint versions of iconic characters from around the world of Ravnica.

Previews for Ravnica Remastered begin on December 19 and the set is scheduled to release on January 12.
