Channel Fireball has announced that the upcoming MagicFest Bilbao (June 12-14) is being relocated to Valencia, Spain.
The venue change was initiated due to Magic fans expressing frustrations with the event coinciding with the UEFA Cup Spain v Sweden fixture, causing travel and accommodation prices to skyrocket.
Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and Channel Fireball have acknowledged that the venue change may not work for all who planned on attending MagicFest Bilbao, but feel that “it will better serve the needs of the Magic community, both within Spain and throughout the world.”
They’ve also requested that any feedback related to the venue change be directed to their social media or via email at [email protected].
