As the metagame for Pioneer evolves following the overflow of companion decks to the format, older decks are adjusting and adapting. Dimir Inverter has returned to the elimination rounds of events with zachattack23 winning the Pioneer Super Qualifier with a classic 60-card build of the deck. The deck size is relevant now that some pilots are building Dimir Inverter as an 80-card deck with Yorion, Sky Nomad – like Gul_Dukat, who made the semifinals and lost to the eventual champ.

Lotus Breach continues to show up with jessy_samek making Top 4 with the other non-companion deck in the format. But six companion decks still filled out the rest of the bracket. Lurrus Burn, Auras, and Hardened Scales maintain popularity, while Yorion Azorius Devotion still sticks around. Zachattack23 beat Hennaruji1 on Lurrus Boros Burn, the only deck with two copies in the Top 8, in the finals.
