Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has announced Double Masters, a set “filled to the brim with powerful and popular reprints.”
Double Masters will contain 332 cards, with 24 packs per booster box, and 15-card booster packs that include two rares and two foil cards per pack. Two non-foil borderless showcase box topper cards will also be included in each booster box.
According to WotC, the set will also allow for an interesting Draft experience, where players will be allowed to take “double the first picks” with each pack. More information concerning the Double Masters draft experience will be announced later today on MTG Weekly.
Magic Online users can look forward to experiencing Double Masters on August 6, where they will be able to enter unique Booster Drafts and purchase non-redeemable booster packs for $6.99.
Double Masters will be available in five languages (English, French, German, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese), will be previewed in its entirety in mid-July, and is currently set to release in stores on August 7.
