When Resplendent Marshall enters the battlefield or dies, you may exile another creature card from your graveyard. When you do, put a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control other than Resplendent Marshall that shares a creature type with the exiled card.
A three mana 3/3 with flying, Resplendent Marshall is already a decently strong body, but tack on the fact it can grow your battlefield for free both when it enters the battlefield and dies, and you’ve got the recipe for a great mythic rare.
What makes Resplendent Marshall so strong is the fact that it can act as a curve topper in aggressive decks without having to worry about getting value out of its enter the battlefield ability, since you get another opportunity when it dies anyway.
It’s also important to not overlook the incremental value of putting even just one +1/+1 counter on a creature. It’ll often times be better to cast this card on curve and get only a single counter rather than trying to wait to buff your whole battlefield, but the fact that potential exists makes Resplendent Marshall a dangerous mid to late-game threat as well.
