As part of an ongoing series of weekly changes, Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has announced the updates and changes coming this week to Magic Online.
Hour of Devastation – Amonkhet Flashback Draft
Until March 11, players can enjoy Hour of Devastation-Amonkhet Flashback draft. Players can enter the draft using “… 10 Event Tickets or 100 Play Points”. “You can also enter this event with 2 Event Tickets plus 2 Hour of Devastation boosters, 2 Event Tickets plus 2 Amonkhet boosters, or 2 Event Tickets plus 1 Hour of Devastation booster and 1 Amonkhet booster.”
Note: this is a Phantom draft and the cards drafted will not be added to your collection.
Limited PTQ
Players can participate in a Theros Beyond Death Limited PTQ on Saturday, March 7 at 7AM PT. The event will cost 1 Red Limited PTQ Token to enter, or you can join with 40 MOCS Qualifier Points.
The winner of this PTQ qualifies for either event in Series 2 of the 2020 Players Tour in May.
Modern PTQ
Players can participate in a Modern PTQ on Sunday, March 8 at 9AM PT. The event will cost 1 Red PTQ Finals Token to enter, or you can join with 40 MOCS Qualifier Points.
The winner of this PTQ qualifies for either event in Series 2 of the 2020 Players Tour in May.
Note: North American clocks move forward on Sunday, March 8, so the event will begin at 16:00 UTC.
Format Challenges
Playing in Format Challenges help players qualify for Premier Play and are available each weekend “except when replaced by Showcase Challenges during scheduled Showcase Challenge dates.”
