Originally printed in Mirrodin, with reprints in Modern Masters 2015 and Commander 2016, Sunforger saw fringe play in its Standard format as part of Fungus Fire, a Naya-based midrange deck based around Vitu-Ghazi, the City Tree providing unlimited bodies for the powerful equipment to be attached to. Key spells to be found with Sunforger included Char, Devouring Light, Seed Spark, and Lightning Helix.
Known as the Boros version of the Sword cycle, Sword of War in Peace was originally printed in New Phyrexia, with a Masterpiece Series: Kaladesh Invention as its only reprint. Oftentimes seen alongside Squadron Hawk and Delver of Secrets, Sword of War and Peace made its mark during both the Caw-Blade and Azorius Delver eras of Standard.
Perhaps most importantly, Sword of War and Peace will be getting Magic’s new Showcase frame alongside new artwork courtesy of Franz Vohwinkel!
