You’re probably already thinking it, but we’re gonna say it this card is crazy good. With a converted mana cost of just one mana, casting Commander’s Plate is a no-brainer at just about any point in the game.
Equipping Commander’s Plate to your commander (or any creature for that matter) instantly creates a sizeable threat that, depending on your commander’s color identity, becomes increasingly more difficult to deal with. While this card easily slots into just about any Commander deck, it technically gains the most value in a mono-colored shell, as the equipped creature will have protection from four colors!
Overall, Commander’s Plate is very worthy of its mythic rarity and is likely to become an auto-include in most Commander decks thanks to its very unrestrictive, colorless mana cost.
