Showcase Challenge Weekend Arrives On Magic Online

As part of an ongoing series of weekly changes, Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has announced the updates and changes for week two of Zendikar Rising on Magic Online.

Zendikar Rising 

Zendikar Rising events have begun! View the list of events and rewards.

Modern Cube

The fan-favorite Modern Cube will be available through October 7 and has been updated with cards from recent sets.

Showcase Challenge Weekend

This weekend, players will be able to redeem 40 Qualifier Points (QPs) to enter the Magic Online Champions Showcase (MOCS). The MOCS are “linked events designed to highlight the best players on Magic Online each season, culminating in the Champions Showcase and its prize pool of $70,000 and a Players Tour Finals invitation.”

Format Challenges are scheduled to run every weekend for the foreseeable future and are the “first step to qualifying for Premier Play.” The schedule for upcoming Format Challenges can be found below:

  • “Players purchasing redemption objects will now be prompted to confirm their shipping address.

  • The standard color used for blue text added to cards in the Duel Scene has returned to a darker and easier-to-read shade of blue.”
