Red Gets Its Mythic Elemental Incarnation In Fury In Modern Horizons 2

The cycle of mythic Elemental Incarnations is complete with the red one that packs quite the punch.

Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and Loading Ready Run, take a look at the red member of the Elemental Incarnation cycle from Modern Horizons 2 — Fury!

The fifth and final card in the cycle of mythic rare Elemental Incarnations is here and it’s a doozy.

Double Strike

When Fury enters the battlefield, it deals 4 damage divided as you choose among any number of target creatures and/or planeswalkers.

Evoke — Exile a red card from your hand.

Pyrokinesis was one of the original pitch spells in Alliances with Force of Will; now it’s in Modern after being stapled to a creature with evoke. The original version of the card could only target creatures, so Fury gets a buff by being able to snipe planeswalkers and creatures simultaneously. Fury does have the downside of being restricted to sorcery speed unlike Pyrokinesis. Of course, you can also just pay five mana for a 3/3 double striker that most likely clears the way of any potential blockers.

So what do you think of Fury? Is it good enough to make the maindeck in Modern lists? Which card in the cycle is the strongest? Let us know what you think in the comments!
