The only other Vampire Dragon in Magic, the aptly named Vampiric Dragon, appeared in Odyssey and was reprinted in Archenemy: 2010. Immersturm Predator is half the cost, for slightly smaller stats and plenty of synergistic abilities.
Whenever Immersturm Predator becomes tapped, exile up to one target card from a graveyard and a put a +1+1 counter on Immersturm Predator.
Just by attacking or even getting tapped by a spell or crewing a Vehicle, Immersturm Predator grows and whittles away at any graveyard. While it isn’t a complete graveyard hoser, incremental graveyard hate has often been playable, especially on efficiently costed creatures like Scavenging Ooze. If only there was an easy way to tap it without attacking.
Sacrifice another creature: Immersturm Predator gains indestructible until end of turn. Tap it.
Immersturm Predator comes with its own built-in way to tap so you can time your targeted graveyard strikes. By sacrificing another creature, Immersturm Predator gains indestructible and taps. Whether you need to remove a card in a graveyard at instant-speed or just protect it from a removal spell or lethal damage in combat, Immersturm Predator is a tough creature to kill.
