First up is Vintage/Commander staple in just its third reprint — Mana Drain!

The powerful counterspell from Legends is back with an extended art variant. It’s only reprints are from Iconic Masters and a Judge Promo. There are few plays more swingy than countering an opponent’s spell, untapping, and slamming a massive threat of your own.

Hareruya also got two new cards to preview, a rare Merfolk Pirate and an uncommon legendary Bird. Take a look at Hullbreacher!

New in a now long line of blue cards that hose your opponents for drawing extra cards, Hullbreacher is a flash threat that turns their hopeful extra resources into your riches.

If an opponent would draw a card except the first one they draw in each of their draw steps, instead you create a Treasure token.

While cards like Narset, Parter of Veils strictly stop drawing extra cards and Notion Thief turns them into extra cards for you, Hullbreacher turns those would-be extra cards into Treasure tokens to synergize with your other Pirate cards. Being a Merfolk in addition to its Pirate creature type will also help out Merfolk decks in both Commander and Legacy.

Next up is a new uncommon legendary Bird — Esior, Wardwing Familiar!

This Bird can partner up with another legendary creature to help make your commanders harder to interact with on the battlefield.

Spells your opponents cast that target one or more commanders you control cost 3 more to cast.

At two mana, Esior can come down early and often to protect itself and whatever partner you pair with it. Esior, like all new legends in Commander Legends, receives the foil etched treatment.
