Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and Mashable, check out a new wish spell from Adventures in the Forgotten Realms — Wish!
There have been many wishes in Magic history, from the original cycle in Judgment with Burning Wish and Cunning Wish to Glittering Wish from Future Sight and many other one-off cards that allow you to search outside the game for a card. But now, we simply have Wish.
You may play a card you own from outside the game this turn.
Bang. No restrictions on what kind of card you can wish for, only that you get this turn to play it. Combo decks have long loved wishes as a way to protect a certain card or have more virtual copies of a key piece to their deck. While previous wishes put the card in your hand, Wish gives you access to the card for a turn but does not put it in hand for later use.
What do you think of Wish? Will it allow certain combo decks like Storm to have a much larger toolbox or is the restriction of only having access to it on the turn you play Wish too much?
Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms is scheduled for release on July 23. View our official preview gallery.
