At the beginning of your upkeep, you may cast a permanent spell with converted mana cost equal to 1 plus the highest converted mana cost among other permanents you control from your hand without paying its mana cost. If you don’t, scry 1.
You wanted Fires of Invention back in Standard? Well, Kaldheim certainly doesn’t disappoint! For two green mana, In Search of Greatness allows you to cast a free permanent on each of your upkeeps. The only catch is the permanent must have a converted mana cost (CMC) equal to 1 plus the highest CMC of permanents you control. Yeah… not really much drawback there. Plus, if you cannot cast anything, you get to scry 1, a nice consolation prize!
