Honnay entered the elimination rounds as the top seed after going 6-1 in the Swiss. He rattled off three more wins in a row to win the 69-person event and take home the $1,250 first-place prize. Honnay defeated three different archetypes in the Top 8, going from Azorius Auras (Lurrus) to Dimir Control to Izzet Phoenix.

It made up half of the Top 8, followed by Jeskai Control as the only other deck with more than one copy. Azorius Auras (Lurrus) and Jeskai Control were the next two most-played decks coming in at 13% and 10%, respectively.
