Graveyard Decks Get Reanimating Creature In Nullpriest of Oblivion

Aggressive black decks get a spicy new toy in Zendikar Rising!

Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and the MagicTCG subreddit, Child of Night just got a whole lot better in Zendikar Rising — check out Nullpriest of Oblivion!

A two mana 2/1 with both Menace and Lifelink, Nullpriest of Oblivion is basically a black-based aggressive deck’s dream card. But it does more than just get aggressive in the early-game.

Kicker 3B

When Nullpriest of Oblivion enters the battlefield, if it was kicked, return target creature from your graveyard to the battlefield.

While six mana may seem like a stretch for a reanimation spell, especially for more aggressive decks, the added ability makes Nullpriest of Oblivion a good draw in the late-game compared to many other two-drops. Plus, you’re technically getting two creatures for the price of one, and depending on the reanimation target, this could translate to massive value.
