Glogowski Takes The Crown In Week 2 Of ELEAGUE

MPL Member Piotr Glogowski brought his A game for this week’s ELEAGUE!

MPL member Piotr “Kanister” Glogowski came into the ELEAGUE Showdown this week as a challenger and ended the week as the monarch.

Corey Baumeister brought a five-game winning streak into this week after his run with Yorion Jeskai Fires, but would only be able to grow the run by one. Baumeister switched decks to Obosh Mono-Black Aggro and took down Jeff Pyka on Yorion Jeskai Blink 2-0 to notch his sixth win before falling to Emma Handy on Lurrus Boros Cycling.

With a nice bounty in her pocket, Handy moved on to face fellow Rivals member Matias Leveratto on Temur Reclamation. Leveratto, who is no stranger to winning matches with Wilderness Reclamation, dispatched Handy 2-1 and setup a match against Glogoswki.

Glogowski used Yorion Bant Control to defeat Leveratto 2-1 and never looked back. Glogowski ran the table the rest of the night, taking down MPLers William Jensen and Reid Duke to take the monarch’s crown into Week 3.

Glogowski will start next week in second place on the 2020 Ikoria Arc ELEAGUE leaderboard with three wins and $1,500 in winnings, but needs to rattle off a few more wins to catch Baumeister, who sits at six wins and $3,000. See if Glogowski can catch up on Wednesday, starting at 6 p.m. ET at twitch.tv/eleaguetv.
