Commander Legends Gives Green Cascading Chimera Hydra

The green Court joins the others in the cycle from Commander Legends!

Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and Landfall TV, check out this huge Cascade creature from Commander Legends — Apex Devastator!

Yo dawg, I heard you like cascade…

This massive mythic is ten mana for 10/10 worth of stats, plus, you know, however many nonland permanents you find with its four cascade triggers. Apex Devastator is obviously very strong, especially in a deck that’s designed to power out big creatures as fast as possible.

Also previewed alongside Apex Devastator, was the green card in the Court cycle — Court of Bounty!

When Court of Bounty enters the battlefield, you become the monarch.

Following the trend of the other Courts in the cycle, simply resolving Court of Bounty makes you the monarch.

At the beginning of your upkeep, you may put a land card from your hand onto the battlefield. If you’re the monarch, instead you may put a creature or land card from your hand onto the battlefield.

With Court of Bounty, it definitely pays to be the monarch and in the right deck, can enable some very strong early-game plays involving big, powerful creatures. Being the monarch during your upkeep allows you to either cheat a creature onto the battlefield or at minimum get an extra land for the turn. And for only four mana, the investment is likely well worth it!
