Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and IGN, take a look at a legendary Rat Ninja from Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty — Nashi, Moon Sage’s Scion!
Nashi is a lowly 3/2 for three mana at first glance, but has the potential for explosive card advantage.
Ninjutsu 3B
Whenever Nashi, Moon Sage’s Scion deals combat damage to player, exile the top card of each player’s library. Until end of turn, you may play one of those cards. If you cast a spell this way, pay life equal to its mana value rather than paying its mana cost.
If you’re having trouble getting a 3/2 through combat, Nashi’s ninjutsu ability will make sure the path is clear before risking it to removal. Once Nashi deals combat damage to a player you get to cash in with a card from the top of either player’s library. Not only can you play one of the two cards, this includes lands, but if you cast a spell you can pay life equal to its mana value rather than mana. This way you can play the card even if you’re tapped out, allowing you to play multiple spells on a turn or play a spell after tapping out for the ninjutsu cost.
So what do you think of Nashi, Moon Sage’s Scion? Which creatures are going to pair up with Nashi to make sure it gets you the most cards?
