Weekly MTG Previews Captain America, Doctor Doom, And More From Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes

See all the card previews and Booster Fun treatments for the next Marvel installment in Magic

Rachel Weeks and Gabriel Luna joined Blake Rasmussen for today’s Weekly MTG stream to give a first look at cards from the Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes set.

While art from the second Marvel expansion, slated for release in June of 2026, was shown off earlier this year, today’s stream offered fans the first full card previews from the main set and Commander Decks.

Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes revolves around heroes, villains, and the stories of them, which means the return of sagas and double-faced cards like those seen in Magic: The Gathering | Marvel‘s Spider-Man. Check out Captain America, Quicksilver, Doctor Doom, and more below.

Plans are a new enchantment subtype that work similar to quests and ascensions. Doctor Doom, like all great villains, cares about plans and has his own.

Bruce Banner and his alter ego, The Incredible Hulk, is the first double-faced card that players can cast either side or transform if Bruce Banner is on the battlefield. The Hulk also works nicely with the World War Hulk saga.

Booster Fun

Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes features the return of multiple Booster Fun treatments including Classic Comic covers, comic Panel Cards, and Source Material reprints.

The Source Material reprints will only eternal-legal unless the card is already in Standard.

The set will also introduce more Booster Fun treatments that haven’t been unveiled yet.

Commander

The first four Commander cards were revealed and they include each member of the Fantastic Four, which all headline one of the four Commander Decks coming with the set’s release. Take a look at Invisible Woman, Mister Fantastic, The Thing, and Human Torch.

Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes is scheduled to release in June of 2026. Read the official Preview Prologue from Wizards of the Coast.
